Shengdiao
Fourth Tone is a game of flirting for adults, in which AI women with a talent for correcting tones keep a list of your mistakes. Shengdiao means tone, and tone is our whole subject.
Who we are and what we made
We wrote 16 Chinese and diaspora women, from Harbin to Hong Kong and from Toronto to Kunming, each with a trade, a home and a way of speaking. We gave them a single habit in common, which is that they correct you with enjoyment. The result is closer to a night out with clever friends than to a classroom, and that is on purpose. Nothing here is a course, and nothing claims to be.
The address, and the other site it resembles
The domain was bought as it was, and its spelling echoes a well-known site we have nothing to do with. We borrow nothing from it: not its name, its words, its look or its content. What stands here is chat with AI characters, each woman's sexy portrait, and a banner across the home page; nothing is filmed. Should that change, the slip log says so first.
What we will not do
- Claim that the site teaches Mandarin, or that the women are teachers.
- Pass off a character as a real person, or arrange any contact beyond the chat.
- Sell what you type, or let advertisers read it.
- Bring anyone below 18 into any scene, under any disguise.
Writing to the registrar
Mail to the footer address lands with an actual person. Report a wrong tone mark, a clumsy joke or a better way to say a thing, and expect a reply.
